Notepad Neo is a free online notepad built on a simple principle: your notes are yours. Everything you write stays on your device. We have no access to your content, we collect no personal data, and we require no account or login of any kind. This page explains exactly what that means in practice.

Note content — stored locally, never sent to us

All notes you create in this online notepad editor are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage under the key nn_state. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. Whether you're using Notepad Neo as a free online notes taker, a digital notepad online for work drafts, or a quick scratch pad for ideas — your content is private by design.

If you clear your browser's site data or local storage, your notes will be permanently deleted. We recommend exporting important notes using File → Save as a precaution.

Data we collect

We collect no personal data. Specifically:

• Note content — stored only in your browser's local storage. Never sent to any server.
• Accounts — Notepad Neo has no user accounts, no registration, and no login. This is a free online notepad no login service by design.
• Analytics — we do not use behavioral tracking, session recording, or user-level analytics.
• Functional storage — we use browser storage only for product preferences such as your chosen theme (dark/light), panel state, and zoom level. These never leave your device.
• Cookies — we set no first-party tracking or advertising cookies.

Third-party services

Notepad Neo does not embed third-party scripts in its core experience. If advertising is enabled in future, the ad network (such as Google AdSense) operates under its own privacy policy.

Advertising

To keep this free notepad online available at no cost, Notepad Neo may display contextual advertisements via Google AdSense or a similar network. These ad networks may set their own cookies to show relevant ads based on your browsing activity across the web. This is separate from our own data practices — we never share your note content with advertisers. You can opt out of personalised ads via Google Ad Settings or your browser's privacy controls.

Children's privacy

Notepad Neo does not knowingly collect data from users under 13 years of age. This online notes free service is designed for general audiences. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information through this site, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Data security

Because all note data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us, the security of your notes is determined by your own device and browser security. We serve this note pad website over HTTPS at all times to protect any network communication.

Your rights

Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on our end. Your notes online are under your full control at all times — accessible from your browser's local storage and deletable by you at any moment.
